Dominic grew up in a family of musicians. His dad was a world traveling jazz saxophonist and his mother played piano. He began studying records of jazz legends at an early age and started formal studies in his teens. He studied under the tutelage of the great Eric Marienthal and began working with some of Arizona’s finest players in his early 20’s. Dominic has had the opportunity to play along side music legends George Benson, Joey Defrancesco, and Jimmy Smith in addition to being the music director for Grammy nominated and multiplatinum selling recording artist, Sister Sledge. He has recorded his own solo projects and has played as a recording artist at jazz festivals around the country. Dominic founded Static over a decade ago with the dream of bringing first class entertainment to the most prestigious events. The band thrives in large part due to his stellar leadership, professionalism and commitment to excellence.

Gio was raised in a musical household. Like his brother and Static member, Dominic, he had the same musical upbringing and training but always found himself gravitating towards the vocal side of things. Luckily he did because he has a gift for it that few others have. You will find his vocal gymnastics mesmerizing and inspiring as he effortlessly flies through notes that the rest of us could only hope to reach. He has a unique talent which is matched by his training and years of experience. He has been working professionally for over 15 years and has been on stage 1000’s of times. Gio knows how to work with an audience and will get the crowd on its feet every time. By the end of the night, you will have fallen in love with him, guaranteed. When he is not busy with Static, you can find him at Mastro’s Ocean Club in north Scottsdale. He also recently recorded an album with Ten29, a project he started with his brother.

Doug grew up in a household of musicians. His father played trombone and directed the church choirs and his mother played piano and organ. His older brothers were both involved in music as well. He began to study the music of Billy Joel, Elton John and Bruce Hornsby on his own in his early teens before taking lessons formally in his late teens. He studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston for two years before earning his Bachelor of Arts degree at Arizona State University. Doug has been working professionally for over a decade and has played with Grammy award winning Melanie Fiona, Grammy nominated Sister Sledge and with multiplatinum selling recording artist Jimmy Eat World to name a few. He is currently the music director for one of the largest churches in the world, Christ’s Church of the Valley, in Peoria, Arizona. Doug also serves as the operations manager for Static and will most likely be the point of contact for your event. He brings a high level of professionalism to the band and has the experience to handle all of your questions and needs.

Eric grew up in the gospel church in a family of talented musicians. His brother, Ira, plays drums for Static and his sister tours the country singing with Ricardo Sanchez. Eric brings incredible vocal talent to the Static family but has an even more incredible gift of communicating with the audience. In addition to being a lead vocalist, he is Static’s hype man and emcee. He is a natural speaker and his ability to engage the audience and energize the room is rarely found and a very important part of any Static event. When your party is in need of someone to charm the audience and get them on their feet, Eric is your man. He has plenty of stage experience performing at numerous jazz festivals with Dominic Amato and touring the nation with Ricardo Sanchez among his many other performances over the years. When he is not performing with Static, you can find him at Blue Martini on Sunday nights with the neo soul and R&B band, Reminisce.

Ira has been playing drums all of his life. His childhood love has evolved into a successful career as he is one of the finest and most successful drummers in Arizona. Ira spends much of his summers touring the world with Sister Sledge and is constantly working around Phoenix when Static is not busy. He was raised on gospel music and his approach to Top 40 music is unique, powerful and very entertaining. He is well versed in R&B drumming but also has a strong sense of rock drumming. He will wow any audience with his virtuosity. His smile and natural charisma don’t hurt either. In addition to sharing the stage with Sister Sledge, Ira has played for Grammy award winning artist, Melanie Fiona and Eric Marienthal among others. The Static family is very fortunate to have this amazing drummer driving the music and setting the energetic tone for every event we play.

DBazz is originally from Rochester, NY. He moved to the valley in 2003 and Rochester’s loss is certainly Phoenix’s gain. DBazz has a style of playing, dressing and performing that is all his own. You will not wonder if it is DBazz on the stage if he is there, he will make his presence felt in a big way. He has a larger than life personality on stage and if the sound of his bass doesn’t hit you, the look of his rocking dreadlocks certainly will! He grew up surrounded by music in the local Rochester churches and cut his teeth on gospel, R&B and soul music. He has an inspired and unique sound that has been crafted over many years. He has shared the stage with renowned musical artists including Brian McKnight, Kirk Franklin, Tank, Dorinda, Clark-Cole, Cece Peniston, Ben Tankard and Tamia among others. DBazz is sure to be a memorable part of your event and will have your guests talking about him, if not with him during and after the show. He is truly one of a kind!
